Life can get a bit overwhelming at times.

You may be feeling very down and sad all the time, or that your mind is constantly racing with stress and worry - or maybe you are not sure how to deal with a difficult situation, like a relationship break-up or a bereavement.

Reaching out to other people can be just the thing that helps us get through these times. It can help to just tell a trusted friend, teacher, family member or another trusted adult how difficult things are. Talking things through and feeling understood can really help.

You may prefer to talk to a professional who could help you feel able to cope.  You do not need to wait until you feel really bad. The helplines below help many young people and adults in India every year. They will listen to how things are for you, take you seriously and work with you to find ways to feel understood, back in control and able to cope.

Project SAMA is a research study so does not offer any direct help to any one person for emotional well-being. we strongly encourage you to talk to someone you know or to try a few of the helplines below. They are confidential - only you will know that you have called them.
