Ethics and Safeguarding

Project SAMA is committed to conducting research that is youth centred, ethical and safe.

The project plans have been reviewed and received ethical clearance through  NIMHANS Ethics Committee (Behavioural Sciences Division) and the University of Leeds Faculty of medicine and Health Research Ethics Committee.

Project SAMA will co-produce a whole school safeguarding protocol to protect both our research team and our diverse participants.

Our international Ethics Oversight Committee members are experienced researchers from universities and other research institutions and bodies. They advise on our ethics and safeguarding plans and their delivery.
