The National Recorder School of Scotland was formed in 1980 and attracts players of all recorders from sopranino to great bass. This enables the course to offer a wide variety of ensemble playing at intermediate and advanced levels. The groups are carefully planned to consist of players of matching standard. Some instruction in technique will also be provided. To benefit from the Course, players should be at least Grade 3 playing standard. There will be three classes catered for :- Advanced : Intermediate : Elementary. Full details of any works chosen for detailed study will be given in the information sheet issued prior to the Course. The School is pleased to welcome Stuart Forrester, Isobel Luke and Mary Bonsor as its team of tutors. The University Hall of Residence offers comfortable accommodation in well-appointed single and twin-bedded rooms. It is situated near the shore, within easy reach of the town and its recreational facilities. Some places may be available for non-playing guests. |
