String Chamber Music - String Chamber Music Weekend

03 - 05 April  2009
Heriot-Watt University, Riccarton, EDINBURGH

Enrolment Form

The String Chamber Music Weekend evolved from the former Summer School which included chamber music along with choral/solo singing, opera workshops and piano accompanying.

The Weekend Course caters for string players of all standards, and although pre-formed quartets are sought, individual players are most welcome. Great care is taken to ensure that, as far as possible, individual applicants are placed in groups of a similar standard.

Coaching of the highest standard is provided by members of the Edinburgh Quartet.

Participants are encouraged to bring scores and parts of chamber works to be coached.

The course will conclude with a concert given by the Edinburgh Quartet. This will take place in the University at 2.15pm.

Heriot-Watt University offers accommodation in comfortable single study bedrooms all with private facilities. It is on the outskirts of the city and easily reached by private car.
